Fresno’s historic Christmas Tree Lane has announced the much-awaited return of walk-only nights, reinstating a beloved tradition after a hiatus due to the pandemic.
Every Christmas season, the picturesque stretch of Van Ness Boulevard, spanning from Shields to Shaw Avenues, comes alive with more than 100 homes and 300 Christmas trees bedecked in a stunning array of festive lights and decorations.
This magnificent holiday display has long been a beacon, drawing visitors from across the Central Valley to revel in the splendor of the season.
The joyous tradition of walking amidst the illuminated wonderland was paused since 2020, as the pandemic posed challenges in ensuring social distancing along the route, resulting in the cancellation of the walk-only nights.
However, this year marks a joyful return to tradition. Walk-only nights are scheduled for Saturday, December 2, and Tuesday, December 12, offering the community an opportunity to once again savor the enchantment of Christmas Tree Lane on foot.
In addition to the walk-only nights, the lane will also welcome drive-thru traffic from December 2 through Christmas Day, ensuring that all can partake in the festive spectacle while prioritizing safety and convenience.
The revival of these cherished walk nights brings renewed excitement and a sense of togetherness, signaling a heartwarming return to the traditions that bind the community in holiday cheer.
Come, join the jubilant atmosphere, take a leisurely stroll down Fresno’s Christmas Tree Lane, and be part of this timeless celebration that embodies the true essence of the season.
