Clovis Veterans Memorial District

Each year, the Clovis Veterans Memorial District proudly hosts a special Memorial Day event in honor of the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.
This community gathering features a variety of free, family-friendly activities, including:
🎺 A patriotic concert by the Clovis Community Band
⭐ A heartfelt Gold Star Remembrance Ceremony
📽️ Veterans-themed documentaries
🎶 Live outdoor music
🤝 Veteran and community service outreach booths
📚 Storytime and crafts at the Community Heritage Center
🥪 A complimentary lunch open to all attendees
The tradition continues this year on Monday, May 26, 2025, from 9 AM to 2 PM. Everyone is invited to take part in this day of remembrance, reflection, and community connection.

Fresno Memorial Gardens

Come be part of a meaningful Memorial Day tradition as the community gathers to pay tribute to fallen heroes. Over 1,400 American flags will proudly line the cemetery’s paths in the breathtaking “Avenue of Flags” display. The program features moving performances by the Front Line Quartet and the Fresno Stag and Thistle Pipe Band. Hosted by VFW Post 5057 alongside local veterans, this event honors the brave individuals who gave everything for our freedom.

St. Peter’s Cemetery

✝️ Memorial Day Outdoor Mass at St. Peter’s Cemetery

Where: St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, 264 N. Blythe Ave., Fresno

Join the Diocese of Fresno for a special Memorial Day Mass held outdoors at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Led by Bishop Brennan, this annual service offers a time of reflection and prayer in honor of those who gave their lives in military service. The setting provides a peaceful space for the community to gather and remember the fallen through faith and remembrance.

Nisei War Memorial Ceremony

🇺🇸 Nisei War Memorial Ceremony – A Tribute to Japanese American Service Members

📍 Roeding Park, Nisei War Memorial, Fresno

This Memorial Day, take a moment to reflect and remember the bravery of Japanese American soldiers who gave their lives in service to the United States. Hosted by the Japanese American Citizens League of Central California, this annual ceremony marks its 73rd year.

Held at the Nisei War Memorial in Roeding Park, the event honors those who served—even as many of their families faced internment during World War II. The memorial stands as a powerful symbol of loyalty, courage, and sacrifice.

Memorial Day Race at Woodward Park

  • Time: 11:00 AM

  • Location: Woodward Park, Fresno

  • Details: A BMX parade lap to honor heroes, followed by races. Open to all ages; cost is $12 per rider, $8 per strider.
